Why it matters
Custom millwork bids are built from drawings, specs, assumptions, exclusions, and shop capacity. Vague scope language can wipe out that careful pricing.
Subcontractor includes all work necessary for a complete project, whether or not specifically shown or described.
Subcontractor's scope is limited to the proposal, inclusions, exclusions, drawings, and assumptions listed in the subcontract, with changes handled by change order.
Can we incorporate our proposal, exclusions, and assumptions, and clarify that drawing gaps, site-condition changes, and work by others are handled through change orders?
Escalate if your proposal is not incorporated, if exclusions disappear, or if the contract makes you own conditions controlled by other trades.
